The Company The products offered by MeDetec today, have been developed, produced and marketed by ABB (former ASEA) during a period of 50 years. In 2004 the metal detector business segment was transferred to MeDetec. Metal detectors have been sold world-wide and gained very good reputation as being reliable, accurate and price-worthy. The customers are found in the process industry for wood, paper, pulp, cement, stone, coal, glass, waste, etc. MeDetec was registered in 2004 as a joint-stock company with initially the sole purpose to continue the production and marketing of the metal detectors earlier delivered by ABB. Marketing is to a great extent executed through local agents. Although having access to an extensive business network, MeDetec is interested in engaging additional agents. MeDetec is located in Sweden with the main office in Stockholm. Assembly and logistics are concentrated to Västerås. Component manufacturing is generally subcontracted. MeDetec will guarantee to deliver full service with high competence on the well established and reliable products.
